Alina was born in 2001. Together with her sister, Petronela, they became a part of the Hand of Help Orphanage in March, 2006; at that time their parents were being prosecuted for conspiracy to commit a crime.
It is very clear that these children's childhood was taken away in an instance.
Alina's life has been given a new future, a hand of help, a place where she can grow, develop and most importantly learn about God and the salvation He has prepared for us.
Early on we realized what a beautiful voice God has given Alina. She often sings and recites poems in our church fellowship. She is dynamic, intelligent and full of life! We pray that she continues to use her talents for praising God.
Alina is also doing well in her studies and is involved in many orphanage activities.
After being paroled, her mother fled the country and hasn't been in contact with her children since. The father is still serving time. He keeps in touch and writes the girls letters. Until the summer of 2011, they were able to visit him at the local penitentiary, however, he has now been moved to a prison further away.
Please pray for Alina that she stays close to the Lord and continues to have a joyful heart, being a light to all those around her.
